Monday to Thursday - 6.00/6.30 PM - 8.00 PM

The Yoga Arts Academy Melbourne has been teaching the principles of Sakshin Ghatashta Yoga since its establishment in 1998.

Sakshin Ghatastha Yoga has its roots in classical Hatha Yoga and the disciplines developed by the ancient Tantric masters of India, Tibet and China.

"The evolution of life is to become more and more conscious, but the consciousness is always other oriented: you are conscious of something, some object. Yoga means to be evolving in the dimension where there is no object and only consciouness remains. Yoga is the method of evolving toward pure consciousness; not being conscious of something, but being consciousness itself." Osho

Sakshin Ghatastha Yoga

Sakshin Ghatastha Yoga is a flowing style of Yoga comprised of techniques for transforming the subtle essences of the body and developing its energy channels.

Sakshin Ghatastha is a style of hatha yoga. This style aims to achieve the maximum results with minimal expenditure of energy. The different asana used in the many grades of Sakshin Ghatastha have been arranged to bring a rich supply of blood to the brain and the various parts of the spinal column. Asana work by stretching, bending and twisting the spinal column in many directions. This promotes the health of the nerves that extend from the spinal column to the internal organs, limbs and extremities.
